Insights Type Filter:
- Clinicians can select from Analytics or Associations.
Procedure drop-down:
- Clinicians can select the procedure to review insights for: Total Hip Arthroplasty, Total Knee Arthroplasty or All Procedures.
Sort By drop-down:
- Clinicians can sort their insights from newest-to-oldest or importance.
Insight cards:
- Clicking on one of the insight cards will expand to provide a visual representation of the insight text. Clinicians can select ‘View More Details’ at the bottom of the expanded insight card.
- NOTE: TKA Surgical Philosophy insights are detected based on findings from your intraoperative performance with ROSA®. Currently, the following philosophies are supported:
- Mechanical Alignment (MA) – Strictly adhering to distal femoral and proximal tibial resections that are perpendicular to their respective mechanical axes.
- Restricted Kinematic Alignment (rKA) – Patient-specific variations of ±5 degrees for the Femur and Tibia Varus/Valgus, resulting in a planned HKA of ±3°. In addition, the Femoral rotation relative to the posterior condyles within ±3°. (Vendittoli, 2021)
- Functional Alignment (FA) – Patient-specific variations of ±5 degrees for the Femur and Tibia Varus/Valgus, resulting in a planned HKA from 3° valgus to 5° varus. (Shatrov, 2022)
- Kinematic Alignment (KA) – Detected as variations in planned HKA below 3° valgus or above 5° varus. In addition, the Femoral rotation relative to the posterior condyles within ±3°. This is in contrast to the original definition of Howell, where the native joint is reproduced by having equal resections accounting for cartilage wear. (Howell, 2012).
- Adjusted Mechanical Alignment Femur (AMA-F) – Consistent resections of 0 degrees for Tibia Varus/Valgus angle with some variability in Femur Varus/Valgus angle (within ±3°), resulting in a planned HKA range of ±3°. (Riviere, 2017)
- Adjusted Mechanical Alignment Tibia (AMA-T) – Consistent resections of 0 degrees for Femur Varus/Valgus angle with some variability in Tibia Varus/Valgus angle (within ±3°), resulting in a planned HKA range of ±3°. (Karasavvidis, 2023)

Procedure drop-down:
- Clinicians can select the procedure to review insights for: Total Hip Arthroplasty or Total Knee Arthroplasty.
Filters:
- Comparison: Users can select a cohort in the database with whom to compare their data. Options include: My Past Patients, Patients in my region, Patients in my country, Global Patients, and Surgical Philosophy. Some filters may be hidden until sufficient data is available.”Region” is defined geographically:
| Region | Countries |
|---|---|
| Asia Pacific (APAC) | AU, NZ, JP, SG, IN |
| Europe, Middle East, & Africa (EMEA) | NL, GB, DE, CH, BE, IT, FR, IE, ES, AT, LU, SE, FI, ZA, SA, AE |
| Latin America (LATAM) | MX, BR |
| North America (NAM) | US, CA |
- Time Period: This filter allows the user to select how far back they want to view cases. Clinicians can select from 15, 30, 90, 180, 365 days and All Time.
- Age: The age filter allows the user to select the patient age range. Options here include patients under 18, 18 to 44, 45 to 64, 65 to 79 and over 80 years of age.
- Sex: The sex filter allows users to filter the data based on the sexual orientation of the patient. Options here are Male, Female and Unspecified.
- Wearables– The wearables filter allows the user to select whether patients are using an Apple Watch or a ZB Wearable wrist device (in China) for mobility data collection. Selecting ‘No wearables’ provides the user with a view of patients who rely on their smartphones for mobility data collection.
- BMI– The BMI filter allows the user to filter their patient population based on their BMI collected in mymobility. The options here are Normal and under (<25), Overweight (25 to <30) and Obese (≥30).
- ROSA – The ROSA filter allows the user to filter their patient population by whether the patient was operated on using the ROSA Knee and/or ROSA Hip application (note: ROSA filter not available for surgeons using only the mymobility Care Management Platform).
- Initial Correctability– The Initial Correctability filter allows the clinician to filter their ROSA Robotics (hip or knee) patient population by the initial max varus or max valgus measurement.
Metric Card
- When a card is selected on the main analytics page, the user is taken to a visualisation screen of the metric. Clinicians can then change the filters they have selected by clicking on the ‘Filter’ button in the bottom-right corner.
- The main Analytics page consists of multiple Categories, each of which contains multiple Cards. When selecting a card, the user can see the details for multiple metrics that roll up to that card, but on the main page, only a single metric value is displayed. This metric is referred to as the “reference” metric for that card. The N value for a category is the distinct count of episodes of care included in the collection of “reference” metrics for that category.
- Taking the Mobility category as an example: For Mobility, the “reference” metrics are the 30 Day values for each of the 4 cards (steps, Gait Speed, Double Support %, Daily Stand Hours). The N value for the Mobility category is the distinct count of patients who are included in any of the 30 Day metric for steps, gait speed, double support %, and stand hour.
- NOTES:
- “N” is the count of distinct patient care episodes that recorded a value for at least one of the “reference” metrics within that category. Because different patients may have data for different metrics, the category-level “N” can be higher than the “N” shown inside any individual metric card. For ROSA specifically, the same logic applies — N is driven by the reference metrics for whichever category is being viewed, not by any single dominant parameter. The number shown at the ROSA category level is based only on the distinct count of episodes of care included in each card’s reference metric, not all of the detailed metrics shown after opening the card.
- The “pre-op” window of time is drawn from some number of days prior to the surgery day, and the value closest to the date of surgery is the displayed date.
- The “post-op” window is drawn from the 15-day and 30-day windows.
- The “3M”, or three-month, time window is drawn from the survey that is closest to either side of that midpoint.
